I Really Do Need Him…. shh, don’t tell…

Heehee!  Of course I need my husband, but I’m finding that out in different ways this week.  It sure is nice to have a man around the house, especially a handy one!  Since he’s been gone (only left Tuesday morning, mind you) here’s what’s gone wrong at our house:  I broke the garbage disposal in the sink, Claire clogged the toilet, Wes’ closet door (big heavy mirrored one) came off it’s track and is no longer attached to his closet.  So I unclogged the toilet and probably could get the closet door back in the track, but I’m thinkin’ the disposal is not something I could handle on my own, without calling someone.  Yeah, I need my hubby!  Of course I need his love and friendship and all that mushy stuff too!  :)

So yesterday at the kids’ school, they got to watch a bulldozer knock down two houses.  The church owns them and is going to build something else in that spot.  This was a spontaneous activity that all the older preschool  kids (3 and 4-year olds) got to see and they were so excited to watch it!  Then they had chapel and their other regular activities!  After school, I decided to take the kids to Burger King for lunch and to play in the indoor playground.  After a few minutes, Claire informed me that there was something yucky and brown inside the big green slide --- oooohhhhhh eeeewwwww!  I told them they couldn’t go down that slide today.  Luckily, they were really compliant and understanding about that; and luckily, Claire had to use the bathroom after a few minutes.  So I used that as an excuse to go home and just play outside for a few minutes before naps!

Hubby called this evening and said they hunted all day long.  He said it was a lot of fun and it’s really beautiful up there.  He said they must have walked 800 miles today!!!  I told him it was good he was getting exercise, but then he informed me of the extravagant meals they were having – buffalo, pheasant stew, etc.!!

Yesterday after the kids played outside, I looked out the window and saw all of their outside toys on the patio and thought “wow, it sure is obvious that kids live here”.  I thought that was a cute idea for a LO, so here’s what I came up with:

Evidence---Kids-Live-Here

I used lots of different products on this page:  the background paper and alpha are from “A Little Bit Flirty” by Zoe Pearn and Robin Carlton (SSD); the stitching is “Bad Sewing Machine – Don’t Be Square” by Traci Reed (SSD); the tape, yellow paper covering the arrow, paper clip and yellow buttons are from “Squiggle It” by Robin Carlton and Christy Lyle (SSD) [btw, if you go to Shutterfly’s digiscrap blog, there is an addon and a coupon for this kit from Robin]; then there are two other somethings on this page that Natalie Braxton will be releasing tomorrow at The LilyPad (don’t miss it!).

Wow – that was a lot!!!  Here’s another using Natalie’s new product:

100%-Girl-

This one uses Natalie’s adorable kit, Spontaneity, her new product coming tomorrow, and “Little Miss” wordart by Fee Jardine at SSD.

Well, Claire and I are off to take Wes to school, to pick up a pillowcase for her class project, to get a bday gift for her friend, and maybe run a couple other errands.

Have a great Thursday!

Oh if it can go wrong while DH is away it will..the last time he was deployed my AC and water heater went out at the same time, the garbage disposal and dishwasher quit working..a limb fell on our roof and punched a hole and someone stole 1800 dollars from our bank acct...all within about a 2 month period lol..oh and then I broke my foot...it wasn't fun :)

I love the layout of the toys..cute title! :)

Beautiful layouts, and yah we really only realize just how much we need our SO when they go away for few days. Hope you have a better week to come!

My kids tend to need ER visits when DH isn't around. It's not that I can't cope with the ER visits, but with him gone I have to take both the kids to the ER and the one that isn't injured is bored out of his mind and getting into everything and bothering his sibling.

Pretty layouts!

What is it about the man leaving for any length of time and EVERYTHING falls apart? But, it sounds like you've got it covered - just like a woman!

And love your layout about the toys! I should do the same type of layout :)
